Spring Break Trip part 1 (Ft. Worth)

We (ok, I) was itching to get out of town over Spring Break, so we decided to take a weekend trip to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. The plan was to escape the snow in Lubbock, but it was just as cold and windy in Ft. Worth. Our first day, we went to the Ft. Worth Stockyards.
The first thing we did was saw the longhorn cattle drive. It was freezing cold, but fun nontheless.
David and Cooper watching the cattle drive.
Then we went to the Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum. This was pretty cool. There were a few hands-on things for Cooper to do and lots and lots and LOTS of wagons. Guess what wagons have on them......WHEELS!!! We were in wheel heaven!

Talking to one of the toy horses at the Cowboy Museum

Cooper loved playing in the sawdust. He was suppose to be looking for arrowheads, but I think we ended up with more sawdust on us then in the box.

One of the Wagons...couldn't resist the photo op.
Later that night we went to the Stockyard rodeo. We thought Cooper would enjoy seeing the horses and bulls and watching everything. I guess it was a little too loud because he was pretty scared most of the time and only watched it when we asked him too. He did seem to like the horses, but didn't care much for the bull riding at all.
Cooper and Daddy at the rodeo. Looking a little scared.
BUT! Our favorite part of the rodeo was this tractor. It was in the middle of the area. I guess they used it to smooth out the dirt before the rodeo. Cooper thought it was awesome! Especially withthe spotlight shining on it.
