End of an Eventful Week

PopPop and MeMaw just left to go back to North Carolina from a week long visit with us. We crammed a LOT into this week including David's graduation, Ranching Heritage Center Candlelight, Santa Land and exchanging Christmas presents. Here are a few pictures of the weekend. Cooper was sad to see them go and has reminded us constantly by being happy one minute, then clingy and screaming the next. Each day gets more and more normal though.

Mattox Robert Holland

Yesterday we had our 20 week ultrasound and were able to see Mattox for the first time! He measured at 20 weeks, so our due date remains Cinco de Mayo (May 5th, 2010). Everything looked great in the ultrasound and we are excited about welcoming this new addition into our family. Cooper has started patting my belly and saying, "Maggots" (instead of Mattox). My plan is to fix that before Mattox is born, but it's cute nonetheless.

What am I doing?

Peer pressure has always been one of my greatest weaknesses and here is evidence of that fact once again....I am starting a blog. I decided that with our new addition to the family coming in May, this would be a good time to start a blog. I am on facebook, but there are several family and friends who are not so maybe this will be a good way to reach them.

I guess to get started, I'll tell about what has been going on recently. Our branch of the Holland family tree lives in Lubbock, TX. David and I started dating in 1994 in Raleigh, NC and got married in August 2001. Our first son, Cooper was born on April 20th, 2008 and our second son, Mattox is due on Cinco de Mayo (May 5th, 2010). David is self-employed, trying to get his company, Painless Recycling, up and running. I work part-time as a clinical supervisor at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center Speech-language Hearing department.

I hope you all enjoy reading this blog. I'll try my best to keep in updated.
